Ongoing Projects

One Glendale Plan

Completed in 2021, the One Glendale Plan is the result of a yearlong planning process led by Lily Marie Oswald and Brandon Siracuse, students from the University of Utah who led the planning process during an internship with the Glendale Community Council. As a result of their work on the project, Lily and Brandon received the 2021 Best Professional Project Award from the Department of City and Metropolitan Planning at the University of Utah.

Since 2021, the council has been utilizing the One Glendale Plan to  implement projects to make our neighborhood stronger.

Keep Glendale Beautiful

Supporting Glendale residents in taking action to prevent litter, reduce waste, and beautify our neighborhood.

We host monthly trash pickups the last week of every month. It’s a great way to get outside and stretch your legs, meet some of our neighbors, and spend just 45 minutes making an impact in our community together.

So we can plan according to the weather and other events, the date, time, and location is determined month by month and will be posted to our event calendar by the 3rd Wednesday of the month.

Do you want to help plan pick-ups, have an idea about neighborhood beautification, or just want to get more involved? Email Stephanie Finley (stephanie@glendaleslc.org) with questions or for information on how to get involved.

Glendale Arts Committee

The Glendale Arts Committee wants to bring more visual and performing arts to our neighborhood! Whether it’s a community event or local mural, the arts create value and interest for our vibrant neighborhood. We are seeking neighbors to join our Arts Committee and help with our mission. If you love art and are interested in joining the committee, please contact Sarah Wolfe at smartseventsandprograms@gmail.com with any questions.
