Traffic-calming murals

The Glendale Neighborhood Council Arts Committee recently finished three traffic-calming murals throughout the neighborhood. The murals were inspired by the path of the Jordan River through our neighborhood and our connection with it. Several local media outlets had coverage of our efforts and interviewed neighborhood artist Kelbe Goupil and Arts Committee Chair Sarah Wolfe about the project.

You can see the murals in person at 800 West and Fremont Avenue, on Glendale Drive in front of Dual Immersion Academy, and at 1000 South in front of Parkview Elementary, between Emery St. and 1200 W.

A huge thank you to our volunteers and to the community for your support. These projects are part of our Paint the Pavement initiative to beautify the neighborhood and calm fast moving traffic in high impact areas.
