ZONING MAP AMENDMENT REQUEST: 1544 and 1550 South 900 West

REQUEST: Salt Lake City has received a request from Paul Garbett (Garbett Homes), representing the property owner, to amend the zoning map for the properties at the above-listed addresses. The proposal would rezone the properties from R-1/7,000 (Single-Family Residential) to RMF-30 (Low Density Multi-Family Residential). The intent of the proposed amendment is to allow townhomes to be built on the property.

The total area included in the proposal is approximately 0.82 acres or about 35,719 sq. ft. (Staff contact: Andy Hulka at 801-535-6608, case number PLNPCM2024-00128).

Open House: The Planning Division will be holding an online open house via a City webpage where information about the proposal can be viewed. Questions can be emailed to City staff from the webpage and answers will be posted on that webpage. The petition open house webpage will be accessible from this City webpage when it is posted. Comments and questions can be directed to City staff at the staff contact at the end of this letter at any time.
