Monthly Community Cleanup

Our monthly cleanup event is a little different this month as we’ve partnered with the Jordan River Commission and Keep America Beautiful to host a canoe cleanup on the Jordan River.

Registration is required so we can plan for the right amount of gear and volunteers.

Sign up for either a morning (9am – noon) or afternoon (1pm – 4pm) cleanup session. We’ll provide the boats (or bring your own), paddles, PFDs, gloves, trash grabbers to get the job done. Dress for the weather and be prepared to get wet, muddy, stinky, and have FUN!

*Volunteers are responsible for their own shuttle. Bring a friend or family member to drop a second vehicle at the take out before meeting to launch or arrange for a ride back from the end point. The JRC will not be providing a shuttle.

MORNING
Meet at 1700 S River Park at 9am (after leaving a vehicle to Montague Ave) for instructions and outfitting. We’ll paddle from 1700 S to the 9 Line then haul trash out of boats to bag up for removal.

AFTERNOON
Meet at approximately 1100 W Montague Ave at 1pm (after leaving a vehicle at Alzheimer’s Park) We’ll paddle from the 9 Line at Montague Ave on the east bank of the river then haul trash out of boats at Alzheimers Park to bag up for removal.
