Glendale is a special place that we share as neighbors. On behalf of the board of the Glendale Neighborhood Council, thank you for the opportunity to give back to our community. As your community council leadership, we are so grateful for the faith you’ve put in us and for the opportunities we have to make our neighborhood a better place to live.

Active transportation is an essential aspect of urban planning that promotes healthy, sustainable, and equitable communities. Developed in close collaboration with the Glendale Neighborhood Council, the Glendale Active Transportation Plan is a long-term vision that outlines policies, programs, and infrastructure improvements to enhance the active transportation network of the community.

Salt Lake City has received a request to amend the zoning map for the properties located at 1380 South 900 West, 1361 South 1000 W, and 1367 South 1000 West. The proposal would rezone the property from R-1/7,000 Single Family Residential to R-1/7,000 Single-family Residential District to RMF-30 Low-density Multi-family Residential District.

Dark Sky Studies is a way to look at how light pollution impacts people and the environment as well as solutions to prevent negative outcomes of artificial light. U of U Dark Sky Studies Students presented at our April 19, 2023 meeting.

Sunni Hobbs-McKinney and Jeff Davis shared updates at our April 19, 2023 meeting which included architectural concepts for the Sunday Anderson Senior Center located at 868 W 900 S in Glendale.

Samoan Independent Seventh Day Association of Churches (SISDAC) has submitted a conditional use application for the property located at 1624 S 1000 W in Glendale.

Salt Lake City has received a request to amend the zoning map for the properties located at approximately 1463 S & 1467 S Cheyenne Street. The proposal would rezone the property from R-1/7,000 Single Family Residential to SR-3 Special Development Pattern Residential District.

At our March meeting, Piper Christian from the SPARC Environmental Justice Lab spoke with us about their Air Filter Exchange Program for residents living in 84104 and 84116.

Tim Stay, representing The Other Side Village, LLC, is requesting Planned Development approval to develop property located at 1850 W Indiana Ave. with a total area of approximately 7.6 acres.

DR Trucking, LLC, is requesting Conditional Use approval for a Vehicle: Automobile Salvage & Recycling (outdoor) for the property located at approximately 2090 S. 7200 W.

The property owner has submitted a request for conditional use approval to use his property at 1638 W Dalton Ave as a Contractor’s yard/office.

Salt Lake City’s Community Grant Program was created to provide limited, one-time financial assistance to eligible small businesses. Applications will be accepted Sept.–Sept. 30th, 2022.
